The Old Swan

The Old Swan is one of the most famous hotels in Harrogate, with a history going back nearly 200 years, including being the tranquil haven that the mistress of crime-writing, Agatha Christie, famously disappeared to in 1926, resulting in a public furore lasting eleven days that she could not be traced.

Situated in the heart of Harrogate this hotel is the perfect location for exploring the town. The Old Swan Hotel combines Victorian splendour with elegant contemporary style. Enter through the revolving doors and saunter in to the famous glass-ceilinged Wedgwood Restaurant or take afternoon tea in the recently refurbished Swan Lounge.

The Old Swan offers a variety of characterful accommodation with 136 traditionally-styled bedrooms overlooking the town or the peaceful hotel gardens. Many feature the elegant proportions of this Victorian hotel.
