The beautiful spa town of Harrogate has celebrated the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival since it moved there from Buxton in 2015. The Festival is known around the world as one of the friendliest events there is and its happy fun-filled atmosphere provides an excellent accompaniment to the outstanding performances and entertainment on offer.
There literally is Gilbert & Sullivan on tap morning, noon and well into the night!
With our exciting accommodation package you can enjoy wonderful shows in the magnificent Royal Hall Theatre in the evening; you can join us for a fascinating talk in the Festival fringe in the morning and in the afternoon there is always a matinee to choose from in our specially built Utopia Theatre. There is free lunchtime entertainment in our café area and after the evening show has finished and the curtain drops in the Royal Hall, our Festival Club gets underway next door with cabarets, sing-a-longs, a light supper and full bar.
If you are a solo traveller you need never feel alone at the Festival. It’s a great place to make new friends or just sit with a coffee and let the world go by. And there is always something to do. Harrogate boasts a wealth of great shops and there is an abundance of historic, interesting spots to visit around the area as well as the outstanding RHS Harlow Carr Gardens.

It is very easy. Buses depart for major towns and cities from right outside the Royal Hall. We have a very strong link with the Harrogate Tourist Information Centre and their expert knowledge of the area makes them a brilliant asset to our customers, should they wish to visit any nearby sights.
There is a charge for car parking at the Majestic at £8 per night. This will be added to your room bill and cannot be paid for in advance. The Majestic has a very large car park and we would not expect there to be any issues.
The train station is a 20 minute walk to the Majestic and this will involve quite the hill. I would recommend taking a taxi from the station to the hotel so you can drop your luggage off comfortably.
